There were 1,546 households, out of which 28.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.9% were married couples living together, 5.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.5% were non-families. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.44% of the population. The racial makeup of the township was 98.87% White, 0.10% African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.03% from other races, and 0.41% from two or more races. There were 1,656 housing units at an average density of 53.7 per square mile (20.7/km 2). The population density was 126.4 inhabitants per square mile (48.8/km 2).
